Bare Bone Rides, Merritt Island Florida
Thanks Joe for getting our bike ready for us!
We got a late start around 10. We found the A1A and headed north towards Georigia. It feels weird to make a right turn and go East towards the coast.
We got up early at my friend Mary’s in Cape Canaveral and watched the sunrise. It was great way to start our East Coast ride even though it was hard to get up so early. But Mary was up and bringing us coffee to get us going, thank you Mary!
And then we road our motorcycle, together, in Florida!
It was a beautiful sunny Saturday in Florida and the coast was busy! Sunshine and palm trees everywhere! We stopped for lunch at Land Shark Bar and Grill, Jimmy Buffet always makes Jay smile and it really felt like we were finally on vacation. We reflected on his life and all the wisdom he shared through his music. Breath in, breathe out and move on, my favorite. And then we bought a T-shirt.
We cruised north up the A1A watching glimpses of the Atlantic Ocean. Time started to slip by and traffic was slow. We still had a long way to go so we cut over to the interstate and zoomed north for couple of hours. Just after 6 we arrived at my cousins house on Tybee Island and we were welcomed warmly with a Low Land Shrimp Country Boil. Later we sat outside around the fire and got caught up on life.
